What is the Purpose of this program ?
India has the potential to become the world’s 3rd largest economy in the next 20 years. The responsibility of making this happen is on the young shoulders of our youth of today. The Lodha group envisages building a very strong foundation to convert this thought into reality. Using the Lodha World Schools as a platform the Lodha Foundation would like to foster and support the meritorious students with financial needs and encourage them to contribute to the development of India.

What is the Structure of the Program ?
• This program consists of two modules: 1. Mentorship Module 2. Sponsorship Module
• Every candidate selected for this Scholarship will by default be enrolled for the Mentorship module of the program
• Certain students out of the selected candidates who also satisfy the economic and financial eligibility criteria will be enrolled for the Sponsorship Module along with the Mentorship Module
• Candidates selected in the Sponsorship Module will by default be enrolled in it till they pass out of school in Class X
• Candidates selected in the Mentorship Module will be enrolled in it only for the AY 2016-17 and will need to earn their seats in the module for the next Academic Year by clearing the defined assessments at the end of the year
• The candidates reaching Class X in school through this Mentorship module will be directly eligible to participate in the “Lodha Foundation International Study Scholarship program”

How will my child benefit from this program ?
• Candidates will receive additional exposure in the form of all-round mentorship from industry and subject matter experts
• Candidates will be given additional one on one attention on subject curriculum beyond school hours from expert teachers to nurture their talent
• Candidates will hone and develop skills like problem solving, analytical abilities and leadership skills beyond just academic excellence
• Candidates will avail financial sponsorship up to class X completely taking care of their secondary schooling
• Candidates will be bestowed with an opportunity to avail the Lodha Foundation International Study Scholarship program after passing out of Class X

What will happen in the Mentorship Module of the Program ?
• The candidates selected for the Mentorship module will be admitted in to Lodha World School to facilitate the execution of this program
• The candidates of this module will receive additional mentoring support beyond school curriculum on two aspects – Social/Life skills and Academic Excellence
• The mentoring team will comprise of one academic faculty and one consulting faculty who will be a subject matter or an industry expert
• The mentoring sessions for the candidate will be conducted in Lodha World School premises after school hours either on a weekday or on a Saturday for the various subjects and skills
• This mentoring module will include the candidates practicing additional application oriented problems and case studies, developing their ‘Higher Order Thinking Skills’
• The candidates will get to interact with professionals like Historians, Geologists, Physicists etc to understand the real time application of the subjects they are studying and much more
• The candidates will continue receiving mentorship through this scholarship program for the future academic years only if they clear the assessments conducted at the end of each year
• The mentorship module can be availed only till the year the candidate reaches Class IX

What is the Sponsorship Module of the Program ?
• Candidates falling under the various defined categories based on their financial and economic conditions will be eligible to avail of 100%, 50% and 25% waiver on the total annual fees of the school till they pass out of the school in Class X
• The waived sponsored amount will be paid directly to the school at the beginning of each academic term
• The recipient candidate will have to mandatorily maintain a certain defined academic record to avail of the financial sponsorship till Class X

What is the Lodha Foundation International Study Program ?
• This is a different scholarship program for applicants who wish to pursue either their undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate or doctoral program from universities abroad
• This is a financial scholarship where the Lodha Foundation will sponsor 80% of the tuition fees for the entire course duration if the applicant has been admitted to any of the top 100 universities abroad
• This scholarship requires the applicant to come back and work in India for at least 3 years after having completed the study program

What are the Key Criteria for Selection of a candidate ?
• The applicant should be currently studying either in Class VI,VII,VIII and IX to be eligible to apply to this program
• The candidate should have demonstrated excellence in academic as well as non-academic areas in his schooling years so far
• The candidate should have shown some display of leadership and commitment to community service in his academic tenure so far
• The candidate should have shown a certain level of active participation in extra-curricular activities within or beyond school
• Higher weightage will be given to candidates whose parents are in the government or defence services
• The program will begin with the next academic year in April 2016

What is the procedure for applying to this program ?
• The candidate needs to collect and submit a filled application form with all the necessary information requested
• The candidate will need to submit the attested mark-sheets of the previous three classes attended in school
• The candidate will need to submit attested certificates supporting the mention of non-academic activities and participation
• The candidate will need to submit a Salary certificate or copy of income tax assessment order of all the earning members of the family
• The candidate will need to appear for the Scholarship entrance test which will be notified to them upon first round of selection

Where will I get the application forms ?
• The application form will be made available at either Lodha World School, Thane or Palava or can be downloaded online at www.lodha-foundation.org/india_study.php
• The applications need to be submitted at Lodha World School Thane or Palava, between 14th of Dec 2015 to 6th of January 2016.
• Each application must be enclosed with the attested copies of the above mentioned documents
• All copies of the documents will need to be attested by a gazetted officer or a school Principal
• The application envelope must be sealed and submitted at either Lodha World School, Thane or Palava
• Shortlisted candidates may be further be invited for a personal interview before final confirmations
